1. walk one's dog : 반려견을 산책시키다
- I lost a lot of weight by walking my dog every day.
2. a wide variety of : 다양한
- There is a wider variety of animals people have as pets.
3. sense of responsibility : 책임감
- My sense of responsibility has grown, thanks to my son.
- go for a walk : 산책하러 가다 = take a walk
- be jealous of : ~가 부럽다
I have a cat, so I am jealous of people who can walk with their companion animals.
- on several occations : 몇 차례
- hatch an egg : 알을 부화시키다
- to the very end : 끝까지 (강조)
Raising a pet requires a strong sense of responsibility, to keep it to the very end.
- don't feel up to : ~할 엄두가 나지 않다
I suppose you don't feel up to having a dog.
★ Modern society often feels colod-hearted. Perhaps people need something or someone to dote on.
- cold-hearted : 삭막한
- dote on : ~에 애정을 쏟다
